The taste of success

Last Wednesday, we had our public presentation of theses. It was one of the most important event of my college life. It's the moment where we proved to everyone that we are deserving to stand where we are. I was really glad to be in the 2nd batch of Obra Kulasa. Most of them are my friends, and it's easier to work with your friends.

For the past three years, I've been sitting in for Obras and some of thesis that inspired me are "Badjao, Paghiusa, and Biak na Bato". I remember having goosebumps while watching the AVPs presented. I told myself that when my Obra day comes I will give the crowd the same feeling I had.

After my group presented our thesis, I was really happy with the way the crowd reacted. I wanted to cry because of their flattering gestures. My heart as beating faster was the credits of our Documentary rolled. It was indeed a success!

The bittersweet day of my departure from the Philippines.

The season when girls in bikinis are hotter than the sun

2 and 1/2 months to go before Summer. I apologize if my Summer or graduation countdown is pissing you off. Who doesn't get excited of Summer? Well, I really have to lose weight. I've been gaining weight because of the stress from school works. There's no time for anything else that you're only leisure time is eating. My only exercise is my morning travel to school. Anyway, I really need to lose my weight so I can wear bikinis again. I love bikinis. It makes you feel confident and sexy.

New tourism ad

This is the new promotional slogan for the tourism industry. Oh well, I've heard that they copied the same tagline from Switzerland 1975 (not sure) which was originally stated as "It's more fun in Switzerland". I honestly didn't get the message of this slogan. Everywhere can be fun and anything can be fun. The message is not unique, every country can claim that it's more fun to spend your vacation there. If I were a tourist, and I come across this ad, I would probably just go to the mall because it's "fun" to shop, or go to the carnival because it's "fun". FUN is a generic word. There's nothing unique about it! Look at Thailand, they sell what differs them from others. "Culture, Tradition, and Food" these are the 3 things a real tourist is looking for.
